Hello! I’m Kevin.
日本で長く教えてきたアメリカ人英語講師
I first came to Japan to teach English in 1989. Since then, I have spent more than 25 years helping learners speak, write and pass exams with confidence, from university students to doctors and business people.
Your teacher, one-to-one.
Kevin understands Japanese learners: what you already know, what feels hard, and how to help you take the next step.
Kevin knows Japan
He first taught in Japan with the JET Programme in 1989, then spent eleven years at Japanese universities. He knows how English is taught in Japanese schools, and where learners often get stuck.
He knows the exams
He wrote much of the English section of Kyushu National University’s 2006 entrance exam, and helps students prepare for EIKEN, TOEIC, TOEFL and IELTS.
Speak without fear
Many learners understand more than they can say. Kevin speaks clearly, gives you time to think, and makes mistakes feel like a normal part of learning.
Pronunciation for Japanese speakers
L and R, TH, vowel sounds and natural rhythm: practice the sounds that make the biggest difference for you.
English for work
He taught Business English at NTT in Tokyo, and edits medical research papers for doctors in Japan.
